Ian has a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minor in history from UMass Amherst.

regional housing studies, economic impact analysis, and demographic research

Maddi Hertz

About Us

The UMass Data Analytics and Computational Social Science (DACSS) is a new interdisciplinary academic program offering campus, online, and mixed-mode graduate courses, certificates, and M.S. degrees. DACSS students gain valuable hands-on experience with the tools and techniques used by CSS researchers and data analytics professionals. DACSS emphasizes "doing good with data" and attracts a higher proportion of women and underrepresented groups to the STEM field of social data science. Visit the DACSS website for more!
